CHORE #1 MAMA'S PENCIL SKETCH
In this 4-part series I will show you how to simulate a sketch and several other artistic simulations of various mediums.
Here's one of Mama's original techniques on turning a color photo into a pencil sketch. This method was published several years ago in shanzcan tutorials(#4 ) on shanzcan.com and in an article for SBS Digital Design Magazine. Since the year 2000, I've been teaching students this quick method & variations!
Thanks to Bob Sherouse, of Maverick Photography for requesting these tutorials in video format and letting us use his images.

CHORE #2 MAMA'S QUICK WATERCOLOR
In this series I will show you one fairly quick method to transform an ordinary photograph into a work of art. I will also show you how to save the "technique" in Action form and edit the action, so you can easily apply it to other images! The tutorial will also cover brush and masking methods to achieve a more "puddled" look on the watercolour, and an overlay of a built-in pattern to simulate the texture of watercolour paper. A method for creating a personal and "Tradigital" Watermark Signature is also covered.
Part 1 will show you one fairly quick method to transform an ordinary photography into a work of art. I will also show you how to save the "technique" in Action form so you can easily apply to other images!
Part 2 will show you how to adjust the settings and play the action on a different higher resolution image.
Part 3 will show you how to create the personalized Watermark signature and apply and transform it to adapt other images.

CHORE #3 MAMA'S QUICK WATERCOLOUR METHOD 2
In this 6 part series I will show you another method to simulate a traditional watercolour with added sketch lines and paper embossing applications. Please read the Watercolour Hit List and check out that information and visit the links included in that document, before continuing with the Watercolour series.
Part 1 will show you how to utilize Photoshop's Artistic Watercolor Filter and Sketch Photocopy Filter to produce a base for your watercolor.
Part 2 will show you how to create a layer mask on the sketch lines layer to finesse the effect by eliminating some detail. Ways to create a composite layer and use filters on a Quick Mask to shape and form the paper area.
Part 3 will show you how to apply a texture to the composite layer from Potoshop's Filter>Texture>Texturizer menu. You'll also see how to load "extra" cool textures found in Photoshop's Presets Textures folder. You will learn the base steps for creating an embossed border using Select>Border, Quick Mask, Levels, and Fill.
Part 4 will show you how to finish up the double border emboss effect and some tricks for using the alignment options.
Part 5 will show you how to use the Crop Tool to expand the canvas, fill the existing composite layer using the "behind" mode and re-apply the texture to the layer.
Part 6 will show you how to make an engraved looking nameplate
Part 7 will finish up the project with a nice airbrushed looking border, somewhat like a french mat. Finish up with a crop and a trip to the Image Size Dialog to set up for printing.

CHORE #4 MAMA'S WATERCOLOUR & INK METHOD

I'll show you how to scan traditional watercolor paper to utilize its texture and edges for overlaying on the image. Please read the Watercolour Hit List and check out that information and visit the links included in that document, before continuing with the Watercolour series.
Part 1 will show you how to scan and overlay a piece of traditional watercolor paper over your image.
Part 2 will show you how to add the ink effect.
Part 3 will show you how to clean up a bit and add a layer style and change the background color, which is a bit trickier than it sounds!
