A Real-World Review of the Canon 1D X Mark III

The Canon 1D series is the company’s flagship line, and it brings with it state of the art technology in an ultra-durable package that can step into any photographic scenario and excel. This fantastic video review takes a look at the camera in the real world and the kind of performance you can expect.

Coming to you from SLR Lounge, this excellent video review takes a look at the Canon 1D X Mark III. The 1D X Mark III was a real step forward for the company, with headline features like 5.5K 12-bit internal raw video and an impressive 20 fps continuous rate (with mechanical or electronic shutter and an essentially unlimited buffer). Along with the raw video and crazy burst rate, Canon tripled the number of autofocus points and added Deep Learning Technology that can track a subject’s head and face, reduced the shutter lag and viewfinder blackout (crucial for sports shooters and photojournalists), added a new smart controller to the AF-On button, incorporated their popular Dual Pixel Autofocus with 90% by 100% coverage and a range of EV -6 to EV 18, and added illuminated buttons. Altogether, the 1D X Mark III looks like a camera that can handle just about anything you can throw at it. Check out the video above for the full rundown.
